and different cultural values, among this culture, dance can not be write off,the traditional and cultural dance of Nigeria are of great advantage to the life of the people, they serve different purpose such as unifying the members of a tribe,performing religious duties, telling us about folktales and history or tradition of a particular group of people, use for celebration, shows wealth and strength of a people and of all entertaining. For instance, we shall take a look at some few traditional dance that had transformed the Nigeria entertainment industry to what it is today,such as
THE BATA DANCE
This dance call bata dance is a traditional cultural dance which is well known among the Yoruba people of south western Nigeria, this type of dance has to do wit the stylish moves of the leg and hand,stunts also are performed during the dance .however ,this dance can not take place effectively without beats from the bata drum which consists of three sets "the Iya ilu","itotele" and the okonkonlo.of all bata dance is entertaining with its cultural values.
THE KOROSO DANCE
the koroso dance is said to have originated among the Fulani Hausa people. The name koroso was derived from the rattle fastened to the legs of koroso dancers,this koroso dancer shows wonder moves by performing in pairs and also help each other to create some impossible and curve shapes.
THE SWANGE DANCE
this dance is performed by the tivs men and women of Benue state,this dance has several links to the traditional history of the tiv people, it is performed in important gathering and during festivals,it has stylish moves which can be slow,fast or rhythmic, the swange dance "boneless dance" as called by the tiv people because it involves a lot of moves,wine and stretch of the body.
MORDEN NIGERIA DANCE
Still following,From the types of traditional and cultural dance given above ,they have all contributed to the development of the Nigeria entertainment industry through our modern moves and style that had help ease the sale of music tracks and albums. This modern moves had trend and are well known to had developed from Nigeria and Africa at large.
Consequently ,the Nigeria entertainment industry welcome development in it dance section at about 2000,when the Nigeria digital media and indigenous music came together with mother luck to begin a trip that would take the Nigeria dance and music into more homes across the country and the world .
Currently, we now have several modern dance that had gone viral across the globe such as ,Makosa,Galala,,Yahooze,Atlanta, Azonto,Etigi,Shoki,shakiti bobo,and presently the shakushaku da atnce.
SHAKITI BOBO
This dance begins and ends with the self-styled king of the streets,olamide popularly non as Baddo.in 2015,olamide released another one of his sneak attacks on radio and the clubs titled "bobo"The dance involve the stylish moves of the the leg ups and down with the steady swing of the hand.
SKELEWU DANCE
Skelewu dance was introduce by Nigeria afro pop singer Davido, through his song of the same name.the song became popular in the UK where he enjoys a big fanbase .this awesome dance involve the stretching of the arms out and moving in a cyclical motion to the sound of the music.
ETIGI DANCE
Etigi is a traditional dance which originated among the calabar Akwa ibom region of Nigeria South-south .this dance actually gained popularity when a pop Nigeria star iyanya who hails from the region, it as a dance step for his music video titled kukere that went viral across Africa and the world.
SHAKU-SHAKU
Presently,the dance shaku shaku is the talk of the street,it blew up at the end of 2016,but oral source has it dat,the dance originated from agege a place in Lagos for two years and still counting.however, much of the new found popularity is down to the emergence of the new shaku shaku sound .this sound has brought about development in d industry as it creat subgenre of song which are currently made specially for the dance,this dance involves the curve in between the leg and rolling of the the hand,,,, this dance had trend and still trending across the globe.
